GDPR came in to force on 25th May, 2018.  It is quite extensive and requires significant time to ensure that all is in place.  Therefore, the documentation and links on this page will increase over time.  Thank you for your patience.

The new regulations stipulate that organisations must state the lawful reason why they need to handle personal data.  There is a specific list of reasons and as your GP the reason is: 6(1) (e) ‘…necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority…’   For more information, please refer to Section 6 of this document
